Making your own laundry detergent

1 C. super washing soda (not baking) found in laundry isle of grocery store
1 C. Borax found in laundry isle of grocery store
1 bar of soap (I use Ivory)

find a fine grater (like for cheese) it will work with a big one ,but better with a fine grater ... Grate the bar or soap with a fine cheese grater, mix with the super washing soda and Borax there ya have it!! use a couple tablespoons per wash load Some people say it does not de solve but If you use warm water , and the fine grater, Or mix it with warm water a while before you wash will do the trick .. I believe it is the fine grater that does the trick for me

I had to make more soap can you believe Dave used it all and didn't tell me pffttt!

Has anyone heard of "Soap Nuts"??? I friend of mine from another site kinda turned me on to them . You can find them at Lehmans. They are nuts from a tree you use to do laundry. It is also a way to go green. You can even use them in the fancy HD washers it has very little sudsing ...
